Helen Troutman

Grants Manager

If you know your InterVarsity history, you’ll recognize the Troutman name. Not only did Helen’s grandfather help to start InterVarsity in the U.S., he was also our second president. For some, that would be an intimidating family legacy to live down. But rather than trying to escape it, Helen has embraced her history (and our movement!). From student leader to staffing one of our camps, Helen has been involved with InterVarsity in one way or another for much of her life. She has finally settled into her role at the NSC as a grant writer and loved (almost) every second of it. That’s good news for us, because had she said "no" to becoming InterVarsity’s grant writer she would be travelling across America with a country western band (true story). We say their loss is our gain!
