The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it. However, God has entrusted us to take care of his Creation. We care about what we love, and we can't love God without loving what God created and loves. Furthermore, caring for creation ultimately means that we are caring for our neighbors. It's the poor as well as future generations of humans that will be affected the most by environmental destruction. As we follow Jesus, we learn to be good stewards of the things he's given for us to enjoy - for the sake of each other and the world around us. Originally produced for Urbana 06.
