Most of us think of charity as donating our time and our money. But that kind of charity is convenient and distant – “arm-charity” if you will. Real charity is a reciprocal relationship. We don’t give because we have and others don’t – we are all in need of something. We build relationships and give out of obedience to Jesus, and because doing so meets both the needs of others and our own needs – “arm-in-arm charity” perhaps.
