The cross is the central image of the Christian faith. The suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross is directly connected to our own disregard for God’s reasonable and right design-for-living. That disregard is called sin. The cross is also the means by which Christians experience healing and forgiveness. The cross is foolishness to many, but for Christians, it is a sign of God’s great love for us.
