When Laura Abrams and Jacob Foor became staff workers at Trinity University, there were two InterVarsity chapters on campus: one multiethnic, and one ethnic specific (Asian American). Laura felt God leading her to combine the two chapters to bring about a larger renewal on campus. The transition was very hard. The Asian American chapter feared that their witness would die; but they trusted God. Not only has the Asian American population increased, but the chapter has also reached out to the large international population on campus. The fellowship has grown to over 130 students (that's more than 5% of the campus!) - and there is a growing attitude among the fellowship that is focused on outreach, justice, and evangelism. God has taken the bones of two chapters to raise up a diverse witnessing community that's renewing the campus and impacting students from over 20 countries.
